  • What is the purpose of pre- move survey ?

    We provide pre- move survey online and at your door steps also. First of all we understand your requirement and concern, than we make a note of all the furniture, Electronics,Kitchen and Gym Equipments available and we assess the number of boxes required for all the fragile and non fragile small items to be packed in the card board boxes. Check facilities for loading, parking, movement of vehicles, etc. During the survey Globe Cargo Movers. will also explain the moving process, clear your apprehensions, advise you appropriate means of transport, schedule dates for packing & moving and most importantly help you plan your move more effectively. 

  • How I prepare myself for the pre-move survey ?

    Identify, the goods in your house and decide the articles you intend carrying, storing, donating, leaving behind etc. Show all the items you intend carrying to the surveyor. This helps us in making a better and more accurate estimate. 

  • How do I value my goods for insurance ?

    In general, you should think about what it would cost to replace your goods. When completing your insurance value, please be as detailed as possible. Remember to mark down all individual items that have a high replacement cost. It’s better to have too much information than not enough in this instance.   • What type of vehicles will be used to transport my goods ?

  • Will you give us some carton boxes so that we can short out our goods ?

    Yes, you can call us & we can deliver as many cartons as you want prior to the move.

  • How long will the dismantling and packing take ?

    Every home is different but for a normal truck load of household effects takes between one day for packing. If timing is important, let us know about your requirements and RS Logistics. will coordinate the move accordingly.

  • How do I value my goods for insurance ?

    You can take most of the personal stuff like furniture, clothes, books, curios, utensils, electronic goods etc. However, all flammable items, liquids, perishable foods and other items that can deteriorate should not be moved.

  • How do I value my goods for insurance ?

  • What kind of insurance should I go in for ?

    There are different kinds of insurance packages available like Transit risk coverage or Comprehensive coverage. RS Logistics executive can give you additional information if required.

  • How my goods will be transported after packing ?

    All goods are moved directly from door to door without any transhipment, If it is full truck load However, for small volume or part loads – the goods will be moved to our warehouse and clubbed with other goods before dispatch. At destination the goods will be moved to our warehouse, So pick up and delivery is done using local vehicles.

  • Do I have to pay any interstate taxes ?

    Generally, there are no Interstate taxes for used & old personal effects. However, in certain cities like Mumbai there are interstate taxes – which are generally very nominal. But for automobiles these taxes are much higher.
